Educational programs
The Twin Horizons Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010 by Whelan Mary and David Williams. Our mission is to serve disadvantaged children by providing access to educational programs, resources, and experiences that inspire learning.
Mission trips
The Twin Horizons Foundation leads annual two-months mission trips for groups of high school students during spring and summer breaks. Destinations include Appalachia regions of the U.S. as well as international locations in Latin America and Africa. Students assist with building projects, teach English, distribute aid supplies, and more while learning about different cultures.
Key personnel
Whelan Mary, Executive Director, has over 20 years of experience as a teacher and administrator focused on inner-city education reform. David Williams, Program Director, is a former youth minister who has led dozens of volunteer trips. Together, their vision and expertise enable Twin Horizons to fulfill its mission.
